What we do

The Shire is located on 90 acres in Hawaii. Infrastructure includes dry spaces, hot showers, and kitchen facilities.

Help on the farm as well as financial contribution to support infrastructure, propane and other costs is essential during your farm stay. The Shire has beautiful open glades with permaculture and agroforestry in the midst of the tropical rainforest.

Honest communication is the foundation for our community life. We also draw on local materials in the construction of farm infrastructure.

We encourage permaculturists, agriculturists, artisans, and other cultural creatives such as Ren Fair craftspeople to join us in their off-season.

One of the founders has an active healing ministry off-site, so interest in natural medicine is a plus.
