What we do

I am thinking about purchasing land outside of the Austin area. I am attempting to gauge the interest others would have in living together on a piece of land. I have a focus on Permaculture and providing a significant amount of communities food. The inception of the community would be gradual. The land could be purchased in as little as 6 months. The first set of tenants have to be in RVs, Schoolies, Trailers, or Tiny Houses. Then slowly move permanent living infrastructure could be built. Possibly by year 2. The way I personally see the property working is that there is a rent collection however every cent that is collected immediately goes back into the community. Whether that’s buying trees or tools and creating buildings. Beyond that, we would do group/family meals ideally twice a week.

Over time infrastructure will be built, such as a pool, common house, workshop, firepit, and outdoor kitchen. All rent collected will go directly back into the community.

As previously mentioned I am just trying to gauge interests. Please email me with any questions or ideas. If you do have interested please inform me if you have a mobile vehicle.

Please don’t be shy about contacting.

Economic model

  • Independent Finances

Members maintain separate personal finances with minimal sharing.

Economic scenarios for this community

  • Members need to pay fees, dues, or similar to live there on a per month or per year basis
  • There is a labor obligation
  • Members typically need to have their own job or other personal source of income to cover their expenses while living in the community?

Additional economic information

Monthly fees/dues: Yes (amount not specified)
Labor required: 2 hours/week
Members with pre-existing debt: Yes
As previously mentioned there would land rental and housing rentals (in the future) on the property. I plan to rent at a fair rate and if at all possible less than market value of what could be potentially received for the property.
