What we do

ideally, a hybrid between a tenant’s union and a system of storing & using our resources collectively, as well as a group of connected friends and comrades. an example of how a Solidarity Union could work could be; A needs a new truck, S needs someone to drive them to a few doctor’s appointments so they can manage the latest flare-up of their chronic illness, and B spotted some free poppy seeds they’d like to plant on social media but they’re currently sitting in a bag on someone’s porch in Malibu, so S, B, and the others all agree to contribute towards paying for A’s new vehicle, and A lets S and B know they can ask to use the truck any time A’s not working as long as they get a head’s up. what i’d love to see happen is, if you – yeah, you – see this, you live in L.A. county or nearby, and you’d appreciate a thing like this, a number of us get together, pool our money, and rent or even buy ourselves a place big enough for all of us. we don’t have to all live together, we could rally ourselves to find two cheap apartments instead of one big house, but with a big house comes a yard, and i want to do some yard return – er, i mean gardening. wherever we end up, i don’t want to stop satisfied with just us and our space, i want to encourage our neighbors to do the same thing.

Our Vision

i’m being completely serious about this; let’s do this, let’s live together or at the least live interconnected. this is not a new organization, this is not a passion project, a hobby, this is something i would give all my energy to doing with 3 to even 10 others, to start with, to support all of our survival….i’m not particularly skilled or deserving or experienced. i won’t claim i know better. i am young, i’m scared, and angry, and this is something i need, just as much as i’ve recently recognized others need this or something like it.

people > profit. the only reasons we must use money at all are the aspects of capitalism i strive to actively work against once we have a solid foundation; if you have no money or are in debt, you are welcome. we will do work for each other, because that’s what anarchomutualism is; that’s what mutual aid is, but you are not required to perform labor for us to recognize your worth as a human being. rest assured, you don’t have to prove anything.
