We are developing a retrofit cohousing community in or near the Desert Inn Estates neighborhood of the northeast section of the Paradise area of Las Vegas, Nevada. The community is intergenerational and supportive of raising children. Initially, members will take turns hosting community meals and events, but when we have sufficient participation, we hope to develop a community association that can purchase land in the neighborhood to develop a common house and other community facilities. The neighborhood consists primarily of mobile and manufactured homes on lots that are owned outright with no HOA. There are some single-family residences also.
