Membership is automatic when one purchases or rents home or room here. If possible, we like to meet with prospective members before they commit to living here, to ensure they understand what life is like in cohousing.
If you would like to visit, contact us via email ([email protected]) or our website.
Also, we are an open neighborhood, so any one can walk around or through the neighborhood; we just can’t promise that we’ll have time to welcome you or answer questions if you just drop by. When a home is for sale, open houses are often scheduled by the seller or Realtor. Members of the Outreach committee will make every effort to meet with someone who is considering buying a house here or is attending an open house scheduled by the seller. We also welcome visitors on Co Housing Day. We don’t usually open our guest house for overnight stays to visitors we don’t know personally.
A few people (not elected by the broader community) make the major decisions.
Power and responsibility are shared relatively equally among members.
Members maintain separate personal finances with minimal sharing.
