About the Community

What we do

PachaMama was established in 1999 by spiritual teacher and visionary Tyohar. The internal work in PachaMama focuses on meditation and points to the silence within. This community is home to about 70 residents who gathered from all over the world to walk the same path of inner growth and chose an alternative lifestyle. Year round therapy, yoga, cleanse and other groups take place in PachaMama. These are led by house therapists as well as guest therapists. The foundation of PachaMama is the silent retreats taking place four times a year. Visitors enjoy a variety of accommodation, from simple casitas to bungalows and houses. Some visitors choose to camp in tents and enjoy even greater proximity to the wild nature and the forest in which PachaMama dwells. The children of PachaMama attend the village’s school and kindergarten, under the care of a team made of professional teachers and volunteer teachers. In the past 22 years thousands of visitors passed through the gates of PachaMama and have undergone life changing experiences. PachaMama has touched the hearts with silence, love, music and celebration.
