Newt Crossing is 17 acres of beautiful wooded hillside just 3 miles outside of Port Townsend, Washington. We have completed our design phase, and hope to break ground in 2026. Our design workshops were facilitated by Charles Durrett of The Cohousing Company. We are an inclusive, multigenerational group valuing diversity of cultures and backgrounds, as well as diversity of races, genders, sexuality, socioeconomic status, and abilities. We are committed to living lightly on the planet, and include that principle into our shared designs. Valuing equity and participation, we use Sociocracy as our organizational and decision-making model. We are mindfully restoring parts of the forest, towards healing.
Living together and sharing many parts of our lives will enable us to live more lightly on the land. Participating in the larger community of Port Townsend and Jefferson County enables us to empower and inspire others towards cooperative community.
Contact us for a tour. Meet the group. We have a $100 explorer fee.
