About the Community

What we do

Masala Community Housing is a nonprofit, vegetarian, consensus-driven, affordable, environmentally focused housing cooperative. We are part of the first community co-op system in Colorado. We are owned by the Boulder Housing Coalition, a nonprofit organization currently providing affordable housing to the Boulder area. The co-op is a mix of students and non-students. We purchase food cooperatively and eat approximately three meals a week together.
