What we do

Local Adaptation Initiative (LAI) – Initiating local adaptation in response to the multiple escalating crises facing humanity and the continued maladaptation of centralized systems.

Principles: Local (community/regional-scale), solutions focused (what can we do in the short-term and long-term), apolitical (not affiliated with any pre-defined political parties or government entities), non-violent (peaceful), and fun-loving (maintaining joyfulness and optimism).

Our Vision

To strive toward resilient holistic health and wellbeing in the Plumas region through strengthening community relationships, creating a culture of giving, contributing our talents and resources towards our collective wellbeing, and collaborating to increase local capacity and regional self-sufficiency.
