About the Community

What we do

We are a group of friends and family, mostly in our 20’s and 30’s from Southern Vermont who are part of a small community focused on sustainably stewarding a beautiful piece of land. We are nature educators, carpenters, builders, writers, artists, musicians, gardeners, and farmers, and are currently in the process of creating a vibrant village, centered around cows, community gardens, nature education, healing and art. We currently have a house available for rent in the center of our community, and would love to find a family (or two together) to be part of what we are creating here. Here is what we have to offer: Beautiful, large, sunny house available for rent in Guilford, Vermont. Perfect for a household of one or two families looking for peace and accessible nature. Located in a quiet corner of Guilford, this house is situated on 50 acres of gorgeous field and forest, complete with a pond ideal for paddling or swimming in the summer and skating in winter and slopes for sledding. Located 15 minutes from downtown Brattleboro, 10 minutes from Marlboro’s Nordic ski trails, and under 40 minutes from Mount Snow. The house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a fully outfitted kitchen. Both the living room and dining room are light-filed with cathedral ceilings and there is a beautiful stone fireplace and a woodstove. The house comes semi-furnished. This is also a unique opportunity to participate in a small community focused on sustainably stewarding a beautiful piece of land. We are in the process of creating a vibrant village, centered around cows, community gardens, nature education, healing and art. Around 6-8 people would be living in neighboring houses and yurts on the land with you. You would have total privacy and freedom within your home and backyard, your own parking, and access to the shared forest, field, pond, and garden spaces. We have plenty of space for gardens for everyone who lives here. We currently have chickens and will be expanding to other livestock in the spring, so there is the option to be part of this, or bring your own animals. We are currently building a barn for cows and a pottery studio. This could be a beautiful place for your family to call home for a few years or an opportunity to become part of a community-your level of privacy or involvement is fully up to you! $4900 per month. This is a 12 month lease available starting in May. 2,300 sq ft 4 bedrooms 3 Bathrooms Snow removal included Electricity included Internet and heat (oil and wood) not included Watch a video of the house here: https://youtu.be/SHsz-_HADXg?si=3PwlW07staSls1CV Please contact Owen at 802-302-6520 if you are interested and we can set up a viewing.
