About the Community

What we do

Hedonisia Hawaii was destroyed in the Kilauea volcanic eruption in May 2018. We plan to rebuild our sustainable community of volunteers, interns and eco-tourists from around the world. We were located in the rainforest region of the ‘Big Island’ of Hawaii until its destruction We are now creating the Hedonisia Solitude Artist Colony and Creative Community on our original land which is only 75% covered by lava so it allows room for rebuilding. Hedonisia Hawaii still offers a Fair-Trade Volunteer Program on our Guava Land property where you can learn by actually living in and helping to rebirth Hedonisia Hawaii.

Our Mission

After the destruction of our community in the Kilauea volcanic eruption of May 2018 we continued working on our digital projects as an online community. However, in Hawaii, from January 2025 we expect that the government will have rebuilt road access to allow us to return. Our volunteer and intern programs allow you to work with your Heart, doing creative work, with your Body doing physical work and with your Brain doing tech, writing and/or research. We manage the Hedonisia Lava to Lotus Web Portfolio and Pleasurable Activism Publications book projects. Our community was popular with women and progressive men around the world. Currently the community is virtual. We continue working on our web projects with virtual volunteers from around the world.
