Hearthstone Cohousing is an urban, multi-generational cohousing community located in northwest Denver, Colorado. We have 33 townhomes, a common house and shared green areas. We are within walking distance of many locally owned businesses including a grocery store, restaurants, coffee houses, and bookstores, as well as public transportation. Membership is tied to owning a unit. When a unit is for sale, we post it on our website and send an email out to our contact list. We also have associate members who do not own a unit but who frequently attend community events.

A few people (not elected by the broader community) make the major decisions.
Power and responsibility are shared relatively equally among members.
Members maintain separate personal finances with minimal sharing.

We are a home owners association. We have HOA dues which vary according to unit size and number of residents. We are part of a master HOA in a larger new urbanist development.
