We started working as a group of families in 2015 to create a viable financial and governance structure that best aligns with our values and vision. We purchased our 42 acre property in January 2019 and and have developed an area for 8 houses. We have a garden for community use, and each family has started their own garden. Our plans are to create between 10 to 16 family dwelling sites which are primarily built of natural materials (local wood, cob, slip, straw, earth bags etc) and are human-scaled in size (500-1200 sq. ft). Four slip-chip and 2 super-adobe houses have been built so far. We have legal, sustainable technology for our waste, water and energy systems including composting toilets and a grey water treatment system. We envision creating food forests and raising livestock within a permaculture approach. We intend to have a greenhouse, a processing kitchen, and practice small animal husbandry.
A multigenerational community living, learning and working in close connection to each other, the land, and all beings in a village way of life. We share our material, social and spiritual riches and collectively celebrate and honour life’s mysterious journey.
We are creating a residential village by collectively developing a property that provides sustainable housing, community facilities, agricultural potential and a beautiful setting for a diverse group of families.

To join the cooperative, members buy a returnable class A membership share of $500 CAD and a non-refundable joining fee of $10,000 CAD per adult. A class C share, which entitles one to a lot to build upon. The cost of a class C share is $132,281 CAD for 2025. New members must also have enough other resources to build their homes with. We have done some estimates around how much it will cost to build the types of homes we envision and found natural built homes are cheaper than standard construction especially if you are able to do some of the work yourself. The cost can range from $10,000 to $350,000.
