About the Community

What we do

_______We are a forming dream and community, dreaming to live in a community in 2009 main community members began visiting intentional communities around the world (some listed on ic.org) later returning to New Mexico to take advantage of educational and work opportunities. Now we have saved up and bought our first two properties, and have spent the last two years layering manure and mulch to build the soil. We purchased a school bus and built it out. Our community is deeply integrated in the rainbow gatherings and we take everybody we can on the school bus to the rainbow gathering in the summer. We also visit some regional events through out the year. We our currently saving up to buy another property hopefully as close as we can to the ones we already own. We plan to keep growing accumulating more properties in the area until we one day liquidate them all to buy a large rural property where the commune plans to live for the rest of our lives and develop a tribe that will live there for generations to come. That is a general plan but there are many things that can go unforeseen and different. For instance maybe we obtain the rural property without selling the urban ones. Then we may keep the urban projects with the intention of promoting ecological living in the city. Or if we find another community that aligns with our dreams we may move and join forces. ______Currently on one property we have been digging basements for future homes and built infrastructure with running water, sewage and electricity. We plan on being off grid one day and practicing fully sustainable and ecological living situations. But right now we are having a lot of fun learning and experimenting with all building techniques on grid and off grid. To get a full understanding of how everything works. We have built a out house with flushing toilette, community kitchen, and working on a greenhouse currently. Our garden has been planted with fruit trees and perennials and we are prepping for the next spring. Coming spring when things warm up we welcome people to come visit and potentially live with us. We hope to build in order to be able to continue through the next winter. _____We also have a dance studio we have been renting and built out. We use the dance studio for breakdancing, music events, dance parties, yoga meditation, drum circles, and art. The space is made and perfected but we are still in the process of outreach to get people to gather there.

How to join

Its all about the vibe check : ), come visit us, spend time with us, we are all about trial periods. spend a day with us. If we all feel good how about spend 3 days with us. If we feel good about it, take a break spend a couple days without us then come back spend a week with us. If we feel good about it, great then spend a week without us then spend another week with us. Then build to a month. Its generally a organic process of 6 months to 2 years for anyone to become tied in as official community members. (This is not just a verbal label its an actual spiritual experience, existence, role and process. The process is not a rigid setup of rules but this is a general idea and we like to have the breaks and space from each other. This is for both yours and our safety /well being. That way we all have time to reflect, find solutions, and build symbiotic independent relationships. Avoiding dependencies that could hinder either side in the future.
