About the Community

What we do

This is an LGBT friendly hippie/nerdy/environmental community here in Dew Drop Hill near Longview (50 min from Portland, OR, 3 hours from Seattle, WA) We are currently 4 people in the house, and one person in the guesthouse living here. House still has an available bedroom. We currently have 2 sheep, 4 dogs, and a llama, and are hoping to get many more sheep and a couple more dogs. Other animals welcome. The land is amazing with 96 acres of hills/forests with two year round streams, a few buildings, and countless wild animals. The main house is really pretty, has great views, and a giant kitchen (2 ovens). Much of the trees were cut eight years ago, and some trash was left by the previous owners but it was replanted, and we are actively cleaning the land and fixing things. Nature is certainly awakening (see pics of the land) We are looking for 1-3 more people I, Ben, am a Bi nerdy environmental conscious guy. I do some IT, and work on making this place an organic community ranch. Brent is my old friend who does art, and helps with the ranch. Chris is an IT professional who likes Leftist memes and nature. Long term, we hope to share the house with people who want to collaborate in largely living off the land. However, money is also helpful, and people who want to rent a room are very welcome. Big bonus if like me you are a nerd who likes board games/VR/video games/ Sci-fi If you are interested, or just curious, please ask whatever you want either by public post, or message me directly. Also open to people interested in ranching coming and staying for a couple of weeks for free* to see if this works for them *Deposit and contract still required, but no rent, and deposit is fully refundable

Our Mission

We hope to live in harmony with nature and with each other. Hope is to eventually get a good portion of our food from the land, as well as selling excess ethically grown sheep and organic walnuts
