What we do

Comunidad Acuario – A Village as an Act of Rebellion

Friendship as our Primary Social Unit
We are building a settlement in the Colombian Highlands based on a clear principle: friendship as our primary social unit. We are breaking the pattern of using friends merely as gap-fillers for when a romantic partner is unavailable.

The Political Act
As Hannah Arendt noted, isolation is the fundamental prerequisite for tyranny. Those who are deeply embedded in a network of loyal friends are far less susceptible to political manipulation. Building a social immune system is therefore a political act – a rebellion against the isolation that makes modern individuals fragile.

The Method (M. Scott Peck)
To ensure this is not just a nice idea, we use the Community Building method of M. Scott Peck, which is about authentic communication. Our commitment to treating friends with high priority, combined with this methodology, enables us to dissolve emotional dependency on a single person. This is a shared mindset, not a rulebook. We do not issue regulations on personal commitments or force participation. We are looking for people who naturally share this positive alignment and vision.

Autarky on All Levels
Just as we seek to dissolve emotional dependency, we also aim to free ourselves from external systemic dependencies. We minimize external reliance through permaculture, our own water sources, and our on-site manufactory for off-grid campers. We are building our own economic foundation for lasting autonomy.

Intercultural Symbiosis instead of an Expat Bubble
Strategic Social Investment: The investment of our founding partners covers far more than private plots. It finances the collective land, essential infrastructure such as the community kitchen and sauna, and the specialized manufactory including two vans.

Subsidized Integration: This capital enables us to subsidize land acquisition for local partners and skilled people from countries with weaker currencies, ensuring a diverse ecosystem rather than a wealthy enclave.

Security through Shared Value: By creating real local value, we avoid being treated as outsiders. We do not rely on fences; we rely on the strength of our mutual interests.

Asset Security and Exit Strategy
Individual Ownership: Each partner receives their own title deed (PH – Propiedad Horizontal), officially registered in the national land registry.

Political and Ecological Safety: We select high-quality land in a stable, fertile region with private water sources. This ensures long-term safety and productivity, justifying the higher initial investment compared to wilderness plots.

Guaranteed Liquidity: To prevent a trap effect, the founding partners contribute a full founder’s share into a dedicated Community Reserve Fund, ensuring that if a member leaves, their investment remains liquid.

Current Status
I am looking for people to walk this path from the very beginning. We will select the final plot of land together once the core group is formed.

Next Steps
You can find a detailed dossier with the cost structure, manufactory concept, and legal framework on my website. Please read it before we talk.
