About the Community

What we do

We are a community of people who choose to live sustainably. We share a kaupapa of wanting to walk lightly on the planet and to use our individual talents for the common good. We are made up of 13 freehold title properties and 3.6 hectares of communal land and buildings.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to co-create a place where people and land are nurtured, resources are shared and environmental ideals are championed. Our vision is to be a robust, vibrant and supportive community that is inclusive, equitable, and optimises the benefits of collective action. A place where high environmental ideals are held and applied. A village whose business affairs are managed in a sound, responsible and considerate manner. With our “Everyone does their bit” philosophy we care for children, ourselves and our families; Work in the veg garden; Sit on a team: Land, Infrastructure, Community; Attend general meetings, take minutes, facilitate meetings; Tend to the animals: chickens, sheep, pigs; Tree care and planting; Plan and undertake general maintenance; Connect with visitors, wwoofers, each other; Participate in regular working bees; CELEBRATE TOGETHER!!!
