What we do

We are a group of families and individuals on a journey to develop co-housing on a certified organic farm in Powell River, BC – Tla’amin traditional territory. We share an interest in living lightly on the land, building sustainable housing, and growing our own food. We are an equity cooperative. We have one original farm house residence and 6 newly constructed homes. There are 2 single family homes and two sets of duplexes. In total there are 7 households living on the property. Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing a unit in our community.

Our Vision

We are designing and building ecological housing, community facilities and agricultural opportunities for a diverse group of people in a beautiful semi-rural setting within Powell River/Tla’amin Nation traditional territory.

How to join

The first step in the membership process is requesting an Information Package and completing and sending back to us a “New Member Application.”

Email us at [email protected] to receive the application material. After receiving your completed application, we send you some materials to review and you are invited to come and observe 1 meeting. Following that observation period we set up a time for an interview with you. After the interview, candidates attend a minimum of 3 meetings or community events before being considered for full membership.

The overall process can be completed in 2-3 months. We would be happy to provide you with more details about our new member policy and process at your request. Applicants from outside of the Powell River region can participate from a distance but are expected to make at least one visit to the community prior to being approved for membership.
