The first step in the membership process is requesting an Information Package and completing and sending back to us a “New Member Application.”
Email us at [email protected] to receive the application material. After receiving your completed application, we send you some materials to review and you are invited to come and observe 1 meeting. Following that observation period we set up a time for an interview with you. After the interview, candidates attend a minimum of 3 meetings or community events before being considered for full membership.
The overall process can be completed in 2-3 months. We would be happy to provide you with more details about our new member policy and process at your request. Applicants from outside of the Powell River region can participate from a distance but are expected to make at least one visit to the community prior to being approved for membership.
Please contact us at [email protected] to arrange a visit. We do not have any accommodation for visitors.
