What we do

Life at Human Scale
A co-housing commons for a farm-y life of balance and presence;
or, how to try to live well before we die.

The Vision
A small co-housing ecovillage of farmers, artisans, and just-trying-to-be-and-do good’ers who like it simple but still appreciate the mess of life, to live in a balanced, present, walkable, human-scale way, perfused by town and country. Bubbles exist, whether by intention or not; while we’re still alive, let’s make a beautiful one.

The Nutshell
Think : farm + family camp + artisan neighborhood + buddhist’ic monastery
Location : Northeastern New York, Lake Champlain, Tiny Town Rural
Size : 400 Acres, $2.5M, ~7 units. ~$400k+ negotiable for buy-in, construction & start-up
Folks : 7 households, all ages, non-dogmatic, startled by the fact of being.
Living : Walkable, Phone-free-friendly, Natural and Simple
Farm & Kitchen : Self-providing + more, Vegetarian’ish, Ayurvedically-informed
Status : Pre-purchase & pre-plan approval. We’re looking for folks!

Here is what we’re looking at, financially : $2.5M for land purchase ($360k/household), $200k/household for home and studio construction, $35k/household for business start-up. That’s about $600k, but not all of that needs to be liquid cash at the start.

The pineapple for the Pina Colada was picked this morning from one of the many pineapple patches dotted around the property. This property is in Bahia Grande on Isla San Cristobal in the Bocas del Toro archipelago of Panama Central America This 30 acre (12.14 hectare) property offers you a jungle with a fresh water stream, ancient trees, birds , sloths and monkeys . Sea frontage with mangroves and dolphins The property (ROP) has been recently surveyed and has over 20 years of clean documented land ownership and history and all legal requirements and due diligence is in place for an effortless transfer. There are no property taxes. Lush lawns surround the house with an abundance of herbs, bananas pineapples, coconut, sugar cane, cacao, citronella and more. The nispero constructed house (on stilts) is on a raised plateau (no flooding from high tides) and set back from the sea line to capitalise on views. It has two bedrooms en suite, lounge, dinning room, kitchen, hallway, utility room and a back and front deck. There are also an additional 10 x 210 watt spare panels to set up an additional system if required. A generator is available.
