About the Community

What we do

Welcome to Fonte de Mouros, the Fairy Spring. We have 8 ha = 20 acres of pasture and woodland in the middle of Galicia directly on the Camino de Santiago, 50km from Santiago airport. We want to create an off-grid community of people who share same values of life, having a life-affirming orientation toward authentic connection. Touch and intimacy are very important in the community in order to heal and connect with one another. Evelyn and Richard met through tantra and both have extensive tantric and shamanic experience. We aim to use these principles in our day-to-day lives. We are keen to share these practices with our new clan, creating the feeling of a tantra retreat every day. As such we particularly welcome ISTA graduates or equivalent. The land is a former dairy farm. We are planning to grow fruit commercially. At present the only crops are chestnuts and walnuts, but we want to plant fruit, vegetables, etc. as time goes on, and aim to be self-sufficient. We have chickens and intend to get donkeys and sheep. We have our own Celtic fairy spring (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enchanted_Moura). Currently the liveable accommodation is the ‘new’ farmhouse with four bedrooms and a communal sleeping area. Our vision is to restore the old farmhouse and convert the 100 m² barn into an event space with a gallery/hay loft for co-sleeping. We invite you to share our finca for short or long stays and to share our co-creation. The daily routine is flexible and is decided on week by week according to the group energy and people’s work commitments. As a minimum we eat together every evening. We are strictly alcohol-free, but there are cafés/bars within walking distance on the Camino de Santiago. Nudity and consensual intimacy are commonplace, weather permitting. See our ideas sheet for big projects we want to do, and follow us on Facebook. Join us to help plan these and put them into action. Please note there are a dog and two cat, chickens very soon. Other people’s animals are welcome but we can talk about this before you come to see if they will fit.

Our Mission

Our primary objective is to cultivate an intimate community space. We want to bring together people who share our vision of a community who works, eats, cooks, relaxes, lives and even sleeps together.
