Aletheia Springs is a multigenerational community stewarding, working to regenerate, and visioning together with the land and waters of a historic geothermal mineral springs in the heart of Sonoma Valley, Northern California (1 hour north of San Francisco).
Now in our second decade together as an established community and project, we continue our work weaving together our community of residents and non-residents alike who share a calling to participate in the service, practice, research, deep wealth, responsibility and belonging that embedment within this place-based web of relations invites. Recognizing ourselves in the nature of these Springs, we see that we are Nature working to heal, restore right relationship with all beings, reawaken our true purpose, and practice living these edges into being every day within our shared lives.
Our mission here is three-fold;
First:Â To revitalize our public service offering and bridge its culture to that of a family-oriented sanctuary for self-care and community, set within a deeply enriched natural ecosystem;
Second: To restore the geothermal springs as a healing biotope– a place where our human activities enhance the ecosystem and watershed of which we are a part, supporting all of life to flourish here;
Third: To engage in the learning laboratory of a new and ancient healing culture of trust and kinship where the sacredness of life is placed at the center; to bring forward our ancestral ways and cultivate the soils of belonging, wholeness, liberatory leadership, and true purpose.

As our housing is extremely limited, and we are knees deep in a pioneering phase that requires every human onsite to lift a significant portion of the project, this necessitates each of us bringing significant skills to the table. So we have to be highly selective with whom we spend our unfortunately quite limited time with in exploring potential future membership. We move at the speed of trust, which means we take a good amount of time getting to know new folks allowing natural alignments and friendships to emerge as trust builds, while also allowing us to mutually experience both the wonderful skills and energy someone brings as well as their challenges, like we all have.
This means that for anyone interested in possibly becoming a future residential community member here, you must first get to know us, the land and our project through a significant relational “dating” period where you come to our community events and volunteer days (if you are local), or through applying and successfully participating as a residential immersion guest and then a 1-2 year fellowship trial period. After that, if a mutual fit and a desire to deepen is present the pathway to become a year-round residential Steward become a possibility.
During our off-season (October-April) we do not have any public onsite and it is our inner community time. All potential visits during this time need to be pre-arranged and are usually fairly limited. And of course, during our public guest season all are welcome to come visit the Springs as a public visitor to our daytime service business (which supports our community). Reservations for day visit are required, and the hours are from 10am-6pm May-September. In only the months of May & September, our public-facing business is only open on weekends and holidays. If you want to visit during our open guest season, but are interested in connecting with the community, please still email ahead so we can schedule a visit, as during the season we are very busy with the operations of the business! Thank you.
