Unleash the Power of Our Differences Series

Intro to the Power of Difference Model (PDM)

REGISTER NOW

If we define community as a place where no one feels the need to leave a part of themselves at the door, then our communities need to be safe places where everyone thrives.

Join us for a new monthly webinar series focused on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).

Each month The Sum’s Elliott Butler-Cisneros will probe challenging community questions, models, and tools for internal exploration and external support. Topics will include: identity, solidarity across differences, power and privilege, white fragility, cross-cultural communication, solidarity protocols, gender and sexual orientation, race, and socioeconomic power.

**Note that each webinar is offered as a stand-alone presentation. While we hope you’ll consider joining us for the entire series, you will gain a great deal from each one even if you can’t attend them all.

Key outcomes of this series:

  • Greater awareness of yourself as a catalyst of unleashing the fulfilling life you envision
  • An increased recognition of how this is interdependent with living in solidarity with all people
  • An appreciation of how the above two items create change in the world through support (not patronization)
  • Practical skills and tools to help you accomplish this support

We kick off the series by learning about the Power of Difference Model (PDM) and three primary unconscious patterns you may hold.

Join us to learn how these primary patterns play out within us and in our communities.

You will have an opportunity to discover your personal primary patterns and learning needs, as well as how your personal patterns may be quite different from those of others. We’ll focus on applying this learning to the cultivation of a community where all aspects of all people are welcome and honored.

Loved by Community Builders

What a beautiful gift to our intentional community builders and leaders! FIC’s programs provide a way for thinking and concerned people to collaborate for solutions to our multitude of global crises. Thank you FIC! – Terri Garcia

I am constantly impressed by the down-to-earth practicality of the FIC workshops combined with the philosophical questions that are so vital for us to explore. I’m grateful for the excellent planning and delivery of the workshops by skilled and inclusive presenters, who create a space that is both welcoming and invites participants to challenge existing ideas and world views. Well done and thank you FIC. – Claire Ogden
