About this Workshop

The current times tell us that it’s not enough to not be racist–we have to be anti-racist. Whether your community is residential or just a group of interested people, doing the work of anti-racism helps everyone be more inclusive and welcoming to people of color. In this online workshop, we’ll cover how to do anti-racism work right where you are. We’ll cover: how to respond to call-outs from people of color, how to engage white friends and family in discussions on race, how to get out of your comfort zone with activist organizations, and how to talk to your community about making change. This interactive session is for people of all ethnicities and experience in community.

f

Key points to be covered:

  • How to gracefully respond to accusations of racism
  • How to argue productively with your racist relatives
  • How to choose the right activist organization
  • How to convince your community to change harmful policies
