What we do

With the help of other willing participants, a co-housing /Eco-village / intentional community somewhere in the Northern Central Valley. The idea would be individual town homes with a Common House. We will use the Common House to share meals together throughout the week, plan activities and form long term connection. This will be a multi-generational and multicultural community where diversity of lifestyle and thought are encouraged. Our homes will be private, but we will share food, tools, land, and labor to make the community an enriching space to live. Biological families intertwined with chosen families. Coming together as a routine to share weekly meals is a simple yet striking way to form community. By breaking bread together as a matter of habit, we build lasting connection that brings meaning and fights against the increasing nihilism of society. In addition, there is the practicality of reducing workload in our lives by alternating meal prep time, looking after each others children (built in day care) and having planting space to grow fruits and vegetables that end up in our weekly meals. Finally cost- housing prices all over the country are becoming increasingly out of reach for even middle income earners. A primary goal of this housing project would be achieve a collection of modest households which would have a large community center with shared guest bedrooms, extra large kitchen and living areas to compensate for smaller homes that would be maximized for value.
