We are building a queer-affirming, collaborative, member-driven home, in order to live out values of equity, justice, and continuous growth that serves as an equity based model for the community. We are committed to accessibility, hospitality, and stewardship in how we live together and in how the house is structured. We know that real and practical work is required for transformation to better embody our values. We strive to be rooted in radical love, which includes: supporting each other through growth and change, advocating for community issues that especially impact BIPOC and queer/trans folks, building parallel power with other groups, practicing creativity and skill-sharing, being rooted in place, participating in mutual aid, furthering anti-racist practices, and living responsibly on the land that has traditionally been stewarded by the Dakota and Anishinaabe people.
There are currently three members in the house, with a fourth confirmed, and we are working on filling two other open rooms. We are a house of artists, gardeners, builders, cooks, dreamers, writers, pet caretakers, video-game players, building a shared home together, with all of the projects and time that takes. Prior to us, this house was built and owned by one family. The house has art/creative space, garden space, a fire pit, two common hang-out areas, separate dining room, a 3 season porch, small guest room, a washer and dryer in the basement, plenty of food storage, bike storage, a couple sheds, some off-street parking (plus plentiful street parking), and a very large yard.
A queer-affirming housing cooperative in the Twin Cities. We are cultivating community, art, gardens, & care, and strive to center affordability, accessibility, & interdependence.
